Uber One for Students: A new budget membership launches in the UK
Updated: 2 days ago
Uber has unveiled a new membership programme aimed at students, offering significant savings on rides and deliveries for just £2.49 a month.
The initiative, dubbed Uber One for Students, includes perks such as free delivery on Uber Eats orders and discounts of up to 60% on service fees for eligible orders.
Members also gain access to daily deals, including offers like 2-for-1 cinema tickets, and can earn up to 10% in Uber One credits on all Uber rides. These benefits position the membership as an affordable solution for both everyday transportation and meal delivery needs.
Uber One for Students debuts alongside a broader push from the company to cater to younger users and families. This rollout includes two additional products: Uber for Teens, designed to offer safe travel options for teenagers, and Uber XShare, a shared ride option aimed at reducing costs.
These initiatives mark Uber’s ongoing efforts to provide practical, cost-effective solutions for users across the UK, making its services more accessible to a wider audience.
Andrew Brem, UK General Manager, said: “Uber is thrilled to help busy families across the UK get around safely and easily. Teen accounts were developed to be incredibly simple to use and provide total peace of mind for parents, teens, and drivers.”
